"An English Village" is the second in a limited edition series of Villages Around The World Collector Plates. Thus painting takes you to a quaint village nestled among the rolling hills of the English countryside. Here, against the crisp backdrop of winter, a little boy and girl greet their mother with love, merriment and warmth inspired by the holiday season.
At the heart of the village is a magnificent church with its steeple rising to the sky. Several villagers hurry inside to honor the true meaning of the season. The archway of the church glows with golden light. The stained glass windows are radiant amidst the winter whiteness. The delicate border that frames the scene forms an exquisite wreath. A festive ribbon is intertwined with berries of the season. This beautiful and heartwarming scene is portrayed on Lenox fine ivory china and is trimmed in 24-karat gold. Each collector plate is sequentially hand-numbered and bears the Lenox year of issue and year of manufacture collector mark.
