This stunning piece features a classic Victorian presentation, housed behind glass with a woven fabric mat liner inside an exceptional, heavily grained antique oak tramp art style wooden frame. The top of the frame features the beautifully hand-carved French title text "MELODIE IRLANDAISE".
Artwork Condition: Antique Condition – Shows heavy cosmetic aging across the print surface glaze in the form of a dramatic, beautiful shattered-glass "craquelure" texture. This cracking is purely cosmetic to the protective top layer and gives the piece an incredible authentic historical or shabby chic character. The substantial wooden frame is structurally sound and sturdy; the raw wood backing boards show natural oxidation, dust, and loose varnish flaking consistent with an item over 110 years old.
