Brand/Model: Vintage GEM "Midget" Piano Accordion (Distributed by Sam Ferri, Italy)
Keyboard Size: Compact/Ladies Size 120-Bass Button Board (41 Treble Keys)
Design: Highly attractive slate/teal pearl celluloid body casing
Included: Original hard storage case, large assorted lot of vintage instructional books and sheet music sheets (featuring Palmer-Hughes methods, Polkas, and more, all as pictured)
Please read carefully before purchase. We are NOT accordion players, musicians, or instrument repair experts.
What We Tested: Basic mechanical operation. The bellows expand/contract properly, hold good air pressure, and the body straps move as intended. When the bellows are pumped, compressing the treble keys and bass buttons successfully produces clear, audible musical notes.
What We Do NOT Know: We cannot test for exact pitch tuning, pitch accuracy across registers, internal leather valve wear, or hidden reed wax degradation.
TECHNICAL DISCLAIMER: We cannot answer advanced technical questions regarding tuning, compression metrics, or interior reed layout configurations. It is being sold as functional but technically UNTESTED beyond the basic sounds described above.
COSMETIC CONDITION & STORAGE SCENT (PLEASE READ)
The Accordion: Shows very clean vintage cosmetic care with minor age wear.
The Case & Books: The protective hard case shows heavy vintage age wear, edge peeling, scuffs, and exterior superficial spotting from decades in storage.
SMELL NOTICE: Due to long-term estate storage, the interior lining of the case and the vintage paper music booklets carry a distinct, noticeable "vintage basement/mildew smell." It will likely require airing out or deodorizing treatment by the buyer.
